ACT II — TRANSITION articulates the moment in which form confronts its own instability. No longer emerging, structure is placed under pressure: gesture is interrupted, continuity fractured, and coherence deliberately withheld. This act examines transition not as passage toward resolution, but as a sustained condition—where rupture is maintained, tension stabilized, and meaning suspended.
Here, the body is no longer suggested through fragments alone; it is reorganized into controlled discontinuities. Materials assert themselves with greater autonomy, operating as agents of resistance rather than carriers of ornament. Surface, weight, and reflection are calibrated to hold form in a state of unresolved equilibrium, where interruption becomes structural and restraint becomes expressive.
TRANSITION functions as the critical threshold of the Milius collection: a space in which emergence hardens into confrontation, and form accepts tension as its defining state.

Cast in brass and finished with controlled precision, “Interruption I” is available in gold plated, palladium plated, ruthenium plated, and black varnish finishes. Each surface treatment alters the perceptual weight of the piece while preserving its structural and conceptual integrity.
