Held Interval occupies the central conceptual position of Act II — Transition. It does not depict movement, nor does it resolve tension; instead, it sustains a condition of suspension as form. The piece advances the Milius Collection’s investigation into fragmentation, control, and material autonomy, marking the point at which emergence gives way to confrontation.
Through restraint, calibrated scale, and material discipline, the work aligns with institutional frameworks concerned with temporality, structural tension, and the expanded field of contemporary adornment as sculptural inquiry.
