2015–2016, Florence, Italy
Author: Milan Stamenovic
Limited edition – closed chapter
Materials
Architectural cuff COMPRESSION is executed in high-glossy black varnish over a sculptural metal structure. The surface is articulated through faceted geometric planes and integrated with multiple cabochon stones, including black onyx, rose quartz, and tiger’s eye, each selected for chromatic contrast and symbolic resonance. Hand-formed protruding elements extend from the cuff’s perimeter, reinforcing its three-dimensional, relief-like character. The interior maintains structural continuity while ensuring ergonomic balance.

Realised as part of the “MILIUS — Luisa Via Roma” exclusive chapter, “CONCENTRATION” was executed as a closed edition.
The series is now complete and fully placed within private collections.
This cuff embodies Milius’ investigation into jewelry as an architectural and performative object. Its faceted geometry recalls constructed forms, while the protruding sculptural elements introduce a corporeal vocabulary — fragments of gesture emerging from structure. The black enamel surface functions as both mirror and void, absorbing light and reflecting the surrounding environment, thereby activating the piece in motion.
The integration of stones is neither decorative nor hierarchical; instead, each stone operates as a point of equilibrium within the composition, stabilizing the visual tension between order and interruption. In the context of the Luisa Via Roma selection, this cuff stands as a manifesto object — asserting jewelry not as accessory, but as autonomous sculptural presence, positioned between design, ritual artifact, and contemporary art.
