BODIES IN RESONANCE –  studies in sonic identity

Voltage of Desire articulates desire as a charged condition rather than an object. Desire here does not seek resolution; it circulates as energy, tension, and anticipation. The body holds this charge without discharge, becoming a site of sustained intensity.

Within BODIES IN RESONANCE, this image brings the series to its most concentrated state. Sound, weight, and thought converge into a single energetic field. Sonic identity is no longer defined by reception or structure, but by current — an invisible force that animates presence without requiring expression.

Desire remains active precisely because it is not released.

Photographic Process

Captured through analogue photography on film and later digitised, the work retains the temporal density and tactile restraint of film while allowing precise tonal calibration in its final printed form. The process reinforces the image’s attention to charge, tension, and the persistence of internal energy.

Series Context

As the concluding image of BODIES IN RESONANCE, Voltage of Desire completes the cycle’s inward trajectory. From anticipation and impact through pattern and cognition, the series resolves into sustained charge. Becoming is framed not as movement or release, but as resonance held in equilibrium.
