Materials
Cast and finished with controlled precision, “Emergence III — Contained Force” is made as: Gold plated, Palladium plated, Ruthenium plated and in Black varnish finish.
Each version incorporates semi-precious stone elements (tiger’s eye, rose quartz, black onyx), integrated as concentrated points within the sculptural structure. The surfaces preserve subtle irregularities, allowing light to articulate the relationship between tension, restraint, and material emergence. Each component is treated as an autonomous fragment, reinforcing the conceptual separation and disciplined force that define the piece.

Each finish is conceived as a limited and controlled edition, developed within ACT I — EMERGENCE as the generative framework of the MILIUS collection.
“Emergence III — Contained Force” represents a pivotal moment within Act I. Here, emergence is no longer raw or fractured, but disciplined. The form holds its energy inward, suggesting restraint rather than release. Anatomical references are reduced and abstracted, functioning not as representations of the body, but as carriers of pressure, memory, and latent motion.
The inclusion of semi-precious stones introduces a subtle internal contrast—softness embedded within rigidity—reinforcing the idea that force is not only physical, but psychological and symbolic. This piece marks a transition within the act, where emergence becomes intentional, measured, and self-aware.
